Aikido of South Florida supports our police and military community by providing an additional 10% off our initial programs and tuition. We realize that in this day and age our forces need every possible advantage when facing confrontation and uncomfortable situations and that the additional martial arts experience of Aikido and its principles are ideal in addition to their self defense repertoire. Having previously provided seminars and memberships to the Hollywood, Fort Lauderdale and Miami Police departments as well as the FBI and Corrections Officers, Aikido of South Florida feels confident in the teaching curriculum that supplements their skills.
In learning aikido, you will be taught the art of take downs and pins, manipulating the energy of and assailant in order to subdue and control your assailant. The only risk of injury to your assailant is based on their resistance levels that will collide with simple basic control techniques learned throughout your classes.
Like everything else in life you try to develop skills that will help avoid or manage confrontation with less aggressive tendencies, and in your professions we understand the chances are far more frequent and avoidable than others. However, these skills learned in a tradition environment, traditional instruction, will evolve into a deeper understanding of not only your future responses, but a refinement of your physical and mental prowess as well.
Why wouldn't you take advantage of lessons that could save your life in so many ways?
